Remembering Scotland

My sister, Venita, and I still miss the magnificence of Scotland. What a trip we had last September walking through the beautiful highlands. I look back at these pictures and want to do it all over again. From the stone cottages to the giant Huntly Castle, it was like a dream. I loved getting up in the morning in Huntly, going up to the Shortbread Factory, drinking coffee, and writing. I remember the friendly bagpipe players at the Braemar Games and our wonderful lodge perched below the mountains. Climbing the mountain in back of us in this picture was fantastic. There were very few trees, so you could see for miles. We travelled on pathways going through people's pastures. You opened the gate and shut it behind you and treked on. We almost missed the purple Heather but did see it on some of the hills and in the forests. It was a chance of a lifetime; we took it and are glad we did.
